The rankings show that Son Heung-min (31, Tottenham) is healthy.
British publication 90MIN released its top 25 left wingers in the world on Wednesday (Aug. 13). The publication recently ranked the 25 best players in each position.
In the left winger category, Son Heung-min was ranked sixth. “Just one season after winning the English Premier League (EPL) Golden Boot, Son Heung-min had his worst season ever,” the publication wrote, “but he has been a world-class player for Tottenham for nearly five years. He may not excel in some aspects of traditional wing play, but he has developed into one of the most lethal inside forwards in the world.”
“There’s no goal he can’t score with both feet, and his partnership with Harry Kane has helped him reach his best. He has led Tottenham through some difficult times and his poor form should not diminish his majesty.”
Heung-min was previously ranked as the fifth-best left winger in the world by the same publication. He fell one spot from his last ranking. After a rough 2022-23 season, Heung-min has found his form again this season and has been a key part of Tottenham’s cruise. He has been particularly hot on his toes, scoring a hat-trick against Burnley on the last two days.
Most notably, two Koreans have been recognized in the media’s “TOP25” series. Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) was ranked sixth in the center back category by the media. This is the same ranking as Son Heung-min, which shows how much of a force they are in Europe. 먹튀검증
Only five players are ranked above Son. Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) tops the list, followed by Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Raphael Varane (AC Milan), and Hvitsa Kvarachelia (Napoli).
Behind Son Heung-min, Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Neymar (Al Hilal), Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal) and Luis Dias (Liverpool) round out the top 10. Sadio Mane (Al Nasr), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea), Mattia Zaccagni (Lazio), Kingsley Coman (Munich), and Diogo Jota (Liverpool) round out the top 15.
