Seoul Eland FC’s founding member Yoon Sung-yeol returns as the first head coach of the Real Academy.
Seoul Eland FC announced on Wednesday that it has appointed Yoon Sung-yeol, a founding member of the club, as the first head coach of the club’s Real Academy, and that classes for the entry-level program will begin today.
The Seoul Eland Real Academy under Yoon Sung-yeol is designed to identify and develop good players through the club’s entry-level youth program and close collaboration with the club’s elite U-12 team.
After making his professional debut with FC Machida Zelvia in Japan’s J3 League in 2011, Yoon joined Seoul Eland as a founding member of the club in 2015 after playing for Matsumoto Yamaga FC in the J2 League.
Dedicated to serving the team in the defensive midfield and left and right fullback positions with a high work rate, conscientious play, and multi-player ability, Yoon played 65 games for Seoul Eland over four seasons, excluding his military service. He then went on to play for Cheongju FC, Gimpo FC, and Tochigi City FC before embarking on a second career as a youth coach.
Based on his experience in Japan and Korea, Yoon will incorporate all his soccer know-how to build the best youth system by developing not only a player development system but also a revenue business model.
The Reul Academy, which will hold its first class on the 12th, is a unique educational system that introduces the joy of soccer to both boys and girls in grades 2-4 from Monday to Friday. Held at the Mokdong Sports Complex multi-purpose field, all classes are limited to the first 10 participants each.
There are also special benefits for those who participate. For starters, the first 50 members will receive the initiation fee waived and all members will receive a ticket to a Seoul Eland home game. There will also be a variety of interactive events, including an escorted kids experience at home games, a tour of Mokdong Stadium’s Real Park, and a Seoul Eland FC summer soccer camp.
Coach Yoon Sung-yeol said, “I’m excited to hang up my soccer shoes and return to Seoul Eland as a coach instead of a player. I will fulfill my responsibilities to achieve the goals the club wants to achieve together,” said Yoon. “I will put all my experience and know-how into the growing youth, and I will do my best to give them not only soccer skills, but also character education and fun outside of soccer.” 메이저놀이터
