‘Monster’ defender Kim Min-jae (27-Napoli) is closer to joining Bayern Munich (Germany). He has completed his medical in Korea and it seems that Munich will only have to pay Napoli a buyout (minimum transfer fee).
“Kim Min-jae has completed the main part of his medical tests to become a Bayern Munich player,” European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday (April 7), adding that a possible deal has been finalized on the 메이저놀이터 player’s side.
“The next step is to trigger the €50 million ($71 million) buyout (at Munich), after which an official announcement will be made.”
Kim, who won a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang, Jakarta, and was granted military service, entered the Nonsan Army Training Center on March 15 for three weeks of basic military training.
The day before (June 6), he was released from three weeks of training and immediately traveled to Seoul to undergo medical tests at a large hospital.
Unusually, Bayern Munich’s medical staff traveled to South Korea to examine him.
If there are no abnormalities here, the transfer is expected to be completed after Munich pays Napoli a €50 million buyout.
According to German media, the Bavarians have already made an early decision to pay the buyout to Napoli. They have also finalized a personal deal with Kim Min-jae that will see him earn an annual after-tax salary of €12 million until 2028.
The official announcement of Kim joining Bayern Munich could come as early as this weekend.
