From university to Spain’s fourth division, and then back to South Korea to play in the K3 League. After seven games in his debut season in the K League, Kim Seung-ho of Chungnam Asan FC scored his debut goal 먹튀검증.
On 3 March, Kim scored the winning goal in the 16th round home match of the Hana OneQ K League 2 2023 against Seongnam FC. Kim’s goal in the 30th minute of the first half gave Chungnam Asan a 2-0 victory, including a 29th-minute consolation goal from Kim Gum-yeol.
Kim did not get many chances in his debut season. However, he made his presence felt by scoring his debut goal in his seventh appearance. “I’m happy to have scored a goal, but I’m more happy to have won. I was thinking more about the team than about myself. I only thought about how I could play to my strengths and be more visible on the pitch, and I played hard.”
Reflecting on his goal, Kim explained, “I didn’t have any offensive chances before, so I thought I was playing too low, and the coach told me to receive the ball higher up, so I went, and (Park) Sejik made a perfect tackle, and the ball went right through my crotch, so I got the chance.”
After finally scoring his debut goal, Kim was congratulated by his teammates. “In practice, everyone was saying, ‘Score a goal, score a goal,’ and the coaches were saying, ‘Score a goal, score a goal,’ so I was waiting, and I think the coach was waiting, too. I’m personally happy that it helped,” he said.
Like Kim, who promised the team coffee after scoring a goal, Kim Seung-ho said, “I have to shoot. He immediately posted the coffee schedule on Messenger. I’ve been getting it every time, so I wanted to buy it at least once.” He promised to reciprocate.
After scoring his first goal, Kim made a celebration by drawing the letter ‘A’ with his fingers. When asked what it meant, he said, “It means Asan. Also, my girlfriend’s name is A, so I did it.”
Although he seems to be well adjusted to the professional stage now, his career has been full of twists and turns. Kim flew to Spain during his college career, and after returning to Korea, he spent two years in the K3 League. This season, he joined the K League 2 and made his professional debut. He remembers his experience in Spain as a learning experience, not a failure.
“I played a lot in the fourth division. I couldn’t register as a player because of my visa, but I learnt a lot. I got to see the first division up close and personal, so some people said I shouldn’t have gone (abroad), but it was good for me. My family said it wasn’t a waste of time. What’s done is done, and what’s important is what I do in the future.”
As for his future goals, Kim talked about the team’s success. “I’m trying to go up somehow,” he said, “I scored a goal today, but there were some mistakes, and I’m personally disappointed. The future is more important. I’m not a player who scores a debut goal and then falls behind, but I want to keep scoring one more goal, two more goals, and I think this will be a springboard. I’m thinking about the playoffs unconditionally, so I put the team first, and that’s why I got the chance. I will continue to play for the team. I’m going to try to do what I can to help the team,” he said, adding that he is determined to play for the playoffs, which is what the team is aiming for this season.
