Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad are reportedly preparing a hefty offer for Son Heung-min, 31, of Tottenham.
메이저사이트 “Al Ittihad are already preparing a €60 million ($84 million) transfer fee plus bonuses to sign Son,” ESPN reported on Tuesday (Aug. 20), citing sources.
“Saudi Arabia’s top club, Al Ittihad, is keen to sign Premier League stars like Son,” the outlet added.
According to the outlet, Al Ittihad will offer Son a four-year contract and an annual salary of €30 million (approximately KRW 420 million). That would bring his total annual wages to a whopping €120 million ($168 billion). Al Ittihad, who have been on a star signing spree lately, already have N’Golo Kante-Karim Benzema (France) in their sights. The club won the Saudi Professional League title in the 2022-23 season, beating Ronaldo’s Al Nasr.
Son, who re-signed with Tottenham in 2021, is out of contract in June 2025. He still has two more years left on his contract, so a move is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
“Heung-min, who joined Tottenham from Leverkusen in 2015, is still a key player for the club,” the outlet said, adding that “Tottenham would not be interested if they received an offer.” His agent did not respond to ESPN. Son’s agent also did not respond to ESPN.”
“New Tottenham manager Enzi Postecoglou is already facing a battle to keep Harry Kane,” the report concludes.
Meanwhile, Son, who had a rough season in 2022-23 that included an orbital fracture and sports hernia surgery, scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 36 games in the English Premier League (EPL). He was criticized for a poor start to the season, but he turned things around and scored double-digit goals for the seventh consecutive season. If you include all competitions, that’s 14 goals and six assists in 47 games.
안전놀이터추천 After finishing eighth in the EPL, Spurs missed out on European competition in 2023-24. After struggling with their managerial issues, Spurs will look to turn things around next season with Postecoglou at the helm.
